About Us

No Tolerance for Genocide Committee

We are an alliance of Angelenos from various backgrounds and organizations, including members of the Palestinian and Jewish communities, united by our rage and sense of urgency over the Israeli government’s ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinian people.

We believe that the concept of Never Again applies to everyone and that the historical Jewish experience, and all histories of religious and ethnic subjugation and violence, should serve to sensitize humanity to the plight of all oppressed people.

The Museum of Tolerance is an educational institution dedicated to justice and tolerance. While the Museum has addressed systemic injustices in Armenia, Cambodia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sudan, Darfur and the United States, it has failed to address the 78-year-old oppression and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people.

How can a museum dedicated to tolerance remain silent in the face of this dispossession and genocide?

To right this wrong we will attempt to convince the Museum of Tolerance to include in its exhibits and other curricula, educational materials and learning experiences regarding the ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinian people by the State of Israel. To this end we will request a meeting with the leadership of the Museum to discuss implementing the above in partnership with the Palestinian Community.

We must all do whatever we can to stop Israel’s continuing systematic erasure, expulsion and extermination of the Palestinian people.
